Beware of Unsolicited Calls After a Car Accident

You’ve just been involved in a car wreck, and not more than a day later your phone rings and somebody is on the other line offering either to provide you help getting medical assistance or legal assistance. This is a red flag. You should never get an unsolicited call from anybody right after a wreck offering either one of these services. Who this person is that’s calling you is somebody that is working for some nefarious lawyer out there who is paying them a finder’s fee to try to get unknowing clients to come and sign up with them. Not only is it unethical, but it’s also illegal. So if a person calls you after a wreck offering you either one of these, this is not somebody that you want to talk to and certainly is not somebody you want to sign up with. You have no idea who the lawyer is going to be who will represent you, and you certainly don’t want to be involved with a lawyer who, right off the bat, is going to be doing something unethical and illegal like that.
