What Happens If Your Car Is Repairable After an Accident?

There are many aspects to a property damage claim, and today I’m going to talk about if your car is fixable. If your car was in a wreck, it’s sustained damage, but it’s been determined that they can actually fix it. When this happens, what are you entitled to? Well, the insurance company is entitled to pay for the repairs. They’re entitled also to give you what’s called diminution in value, and what that means is we all know that we are less likely to buy a car that’s been in a wreck than one that hasn’t been in a wreck. That’s worth money, so they’re also required to pay you for that amount of money called diminution in value.
