Judgment for the Plaintiff in the amount of $577,827.89. We had the privilege of representing a wonderful older gentleman who was injured in the warehouse of a large, multi-national, manufacturing company. The warehouse employees were in the habit of leaving “messes” throughout the warehouse as they worked. Our client was a truck driver who was there to pick up a shipment from the Defendant’s facility. Unfortunately, as our then 75 year old client worked his way through the warehouse, he was tripped by some re-bar sticking out from the bottom of a stack of pallets. He broke his hip. He laid there on the warehouse floor for 2 hours before someone discovered him. He was rushed to a local hospital where his hip was replaced. Due to his age, the titanium rod used to stabilize the joint shifted, causing the rod to go into the muscles surrounding his hip. The doctors cannot fix this. His medical bills were just over $57,000.00. While nothing we do can “undo” the harm our client suffered, we are very pleased to provide him with the means to adjust his home to accommodate his needs and obtain the future care he will likely require.
