Many of our clients are minors. And when you have a minor case, a case involving a minor, there are many unique aspects that come up. For example, how does a minor actually hire a lawyer? Well, the answer to that is the minor can’t actually come out and hire a lawyer because in Georgia you have to be 18 years old before you can enter into a contract. So what needs to happen is is the minor’s parent and or guardian is the one who actually has to hire the lawyer and sign the contract of employment for the lawyer.
