It’s summertime; we’re having people over to our house for a barbecue, get-together, whatever it may be. What obligations do you have as a homeowner to your guests? You need to make sure you let them know about hazards that you know about. For example, if the step leading up to your front door is loose and you know it’s loose and you don’t tell them about it, they come over, and they trip on that, or that causes them to fall, and they get hurt, it’s on you. You have to make sure they know about known hazards. You don’t have to go and crawl through every square inch of your house to make sure that there isn’t any hazard there. But if you know about it, you gotta tell them about it.
