One of the first things that we tell our clients when they sign up is to not put anything about their car wreck on social media. And the reason we do it is many times what happens, defense lawyers will go and that’s one of the first things that they’re going to look at. And usually what you put on there is completely harmless and have absolutely no effect on your case. There can be times where something can be misconstrued and where we tell them what’s the point. There’s no reason to put anything on there if it could possibly even harm your case just a little bit. What we’ve learned though is defense lawyers sometimes don’t give that same advice to their clients. We have found many useful things against the defendant that we can later use at trial for things that have been posted on social media by the defendants.
