You Pay for Insurance, So Why Not Use It?

Let’s talk about car insurance. Generally, the car insurance industry is incredibly gifted at selling us, the consumers, products that are designed for our own protection. But interestingly enough, we have all been conditioned to be hesitant to make use of the coverage that we pay for whenever a moment of need arises. For instance, a lot of our clients are nervous about making an uninsured motorist even though they have been paying for this coverage for months, sometimes years. Whenever they need to use that coverage, they’re quite a bit reluctant at times to actually do it. And their concern is that they are worried that their car insurance rates are going to go up. Well, fortunately, that’s not going to happen. There is a statute in place here in Georgia that prevents car insurance companies from being able to increase your rates or cancel you because you’ve made an uninsured motorist claim. So please, if you’re buying the coverage, use the coverage when the time comes.
